Plan 'C' – A brief descent into paranoid delusion

They can't win the election.  We know that.  They know that.  Haven't you noticed that they're campaigning far less effectively than anyone would have anticipated?  Surely less effectively than they are capable of.  Why is that?  Take a moment to look at it and you'll realize that it's an obvious sham.  They're just going through the motions.   They're not seriously campaigning anymore (they're so over that) they're already into plan 'C'.

Plan 'A' = win the election.
Plan 'B' = steal the vote.*
Plan 'C' = don't accept the outcome.

Oh lordy, where is this train of thought leading me?  Have they not just dedicated an entire US Army Brigade Combat Team to domestic police duty?  Oh yes they have.  The Third Infantry Division First Brigade Combat Team has already completed training for its new mission: suppressing civil unrest/dissent in the United States of America.

Oh come on, is it really conceivable that the Cheney-Rove White House  would refuse to hand over power?  That it would actually call out the troops to neutralize  Americans who resisted?  Well, the First Brigade Combat Team officially took up its new mission on October first of this year, just in time for the election.

But isn't using the military as an internal police force illegal, under Title 18, US Code, Section 1385, mommy?  Hush dear; look at our savior up there.  Did you know that he died for your sins?  Did you know that John McCain was a POW in Vietnam?

*Not so easy this time around.  'O' has an infinite number of lawyers and poll watchers (incl. TOOJT) on standby.  We catch anybody messing with the votes – their ass is grass.

Calling on god to stand up like a man

If Obama wins, The Easter Bunny will diss Jesus.  She'll yell, Hey Jesus, who's your daddy?  Vishnu and Santa Claus will laugh behind Yaweh's back (that's so cruel when you're omniscient) and Pan will give him a wedgie.

He's a real (vendetta) go getta

Check out "Todd Palin Creepy first stalker" by KagroX

Eeeuww!  This guy followed the trooper 100 miles off-road, and secretly photographed him, in an (unsuccessful) attempt to trash his workman's compensation claim for an on-the-job injury.

But the pumped up snow machine jock turns out to be dumber than a bag of hammers.  It wound up costing the barracuda family substantial bucks, when a judge found out what was going on.

John McCain Is A Baby

Barak Obama Can Prioritize
John McCain Can Not

The ability to prioritize is perhaps the most basic and the most important of all management disciplines.  Let me say that again: "disciplines."  Textbooks may call it a "skill" or a "tool", but it's a discipline; and you don't learn how to do it from a textbook.  It's a discipline that you master by achieving goals successfully, with limited resources.  It's the kind of thing community organizers learn to do well.

Tom Brokaw asked McCain and Obama to consider economic reality and the fact that neither of them would be able to fully implement all of their planned initiatives.  He asked them to prioritize.  Obama stood up and said: #1-Energy  #2-Health Care  #3-Education.  It was as though he had thought about it before.  Scary!

McCain reared his head, maundered on for a bit, and finally said there's no reason we can't do everything. That's not a manager's answer.  That's not even a smart politician's answer.  It's a baby's answer.  It ignores economic reality and assumes that nobody else is aware of it either.  It's magical thinking.

I'm not saying that Obama's priorities are correct, that's another argument.  I'm just suggesting that he's a disciplined thinker.  I'd feel good if the president was a disciplined thinker.

Let Wall Street Hold a Bake Sale

I think this would be a really great time to demonstrate that a capital market, free from bureaucratic  government meddling, will self-correct and bob to the surface like a buoyant, radiantly healthy champagne cork.

While that's self-correcting, the government ought to rescue the working class, by which I mean all people who work for wages, and many who work for commissions or fees.
  • Unfair mortgages must be re-negotiated, so that people can pay them off and keep their homes.
  • Commercial banks and investment banks must be kept apart, as they were before Bushy neocons trashed the Glass Steagall Act.
  • And the FDIC maximum insured amount must be raised to about $250,000, as Senator Obama recommends.

In the unlikely event that the capital market proves unable to heal itself, and asks for help from the government, perhaps a loan could be arranged.  The terms should be liberal, but businesslike.  The government should be seen in a fiduciary relationship to the tax payer.  Alternatively, the government might purchase preferred stock in ailing firms, at current market value, and sell them at a later date, when their value has appreciated.

Finally, Republican marriage must be banned, all Republicans must be made to wear a yellow dunce cap, and be prohibited from fishing from municipal wharves.

The Morons Are Coming! The Morons Are Coming!

"As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of The United States of America, where do they go?  It's Alaska." – Sarah Palin

Katie Couric's face should be on the ten dollar bill, or at least the Forever Stamp.  What did Paul Revere do that she didn't?

Honest John McSame went to Washington

There was a bi-partisan deal and then Honest John McSame went to Washington and kicked over some tables and then there was no deal?

Hey! Nice work John! Thanks for queering that shitty deal, but what did you say to those house Republicans in the glass walled subway cars deep in the bowels of the capitol?
I saw you.
What were you thinking as you sat, strong-silently in the Whitey House, perfectly symmetrically separated from BO, by Lame Ducky? What did you have up your sleeve when you rode out of town at sunset, not sayin’ whether you was headed South fer Mississippi or out West, to clean up some other town?

And just how does Mr. Rove intend to turn your trained seagull act to your political advantage? Well, I’m going to open a beer fast and turn on the TV fast, because it’s time for the deba . . .
